Unstructured artworks can prove to be way more structured than we think….This is what you will find out after reading the review of  Scott Donohue’s painting.

Hail to the queen

Scott Donohue is an artist originating from England. He uses a wide variety of art techniques such as paintings, drawings and installation in order to depict his dark vision of the future.

The Flowers of Evil

From the start, it is obvious that the painting we are staring at (the flowers of evil) is not a joyful one. Indeed, the main character is the target of fearsome creatures who are putting him through hell.

Solid technically

The flower of Evil is a remarkable creation. The work on the textures, for instance, is definitely not the work of an amateur. Flesh, metal, or even flower petals are easily recognizable. This melting pot of life is really a treat for the eyes.

A Gruesome World

This futuristic world is not a safe place for humans as weird beings such as those mentioned below conquered it:

  • Apocalyptic flowers
  • Flying eyes
  • Bionic giant eyes
  • Scary mouths
Apparently, something went wrong in the present and this world is the result of unethical scientific researches.

This Sweet Folly

One of the most recurring theme of “flower of evil” is folly. All the hostile creatures are glaring at the main character in an attempt to drive him mad. Two of them went as far as attacking him which underlines how determined they are.
Will we turn our beautiful planet into a living hell? Only time will tell !
