Renata, a psychedelic artist

Renata P. C. Rodrigues is a brazilian artist residing in Sao Paulo. Her psychedelic-oriented style reinforces the surreal aspects of her digital artworks. It seems that she is very attracted to the following colors : blue, purple and green.

As well as creating digital marvels, Renata teaches art to students in order to both make a living and broaden their horizons.

The View – Psychedelic Mind

The View- Psychedelic Mind is a brilliantly executed digital masterpiece. It is about a woman who stares at a multicolor sky.

An original self-portrait

The View combines real elements with fantastic ones with grace. The woman on the background was created in a realistic way whereas the sky is made up of diverse colorful mosaics.

The contrast between the vivid sky and the woman hidden in the darkness raises questions. Why is the sky so highlighted compared to the girl? This particular feature of this artwork is obviously an attempt to show how important this fantastic world is to the character.

Speaking of the character, she behaves as though the only thing that matters to her is this strange sky. It is as though this unreal sky was getting the better of her…It is as though reality does not matter anymore.

The artist was willing to point out how she feels about her art (she is the girl of the artwork). Like many artists, nothing matters to her when inspiration comes by. When her imaginary world knocks at her door, the only thing she wants is let it in.

Guess how it looks like ? A psychedelic and fantastic world that brings happiness into her heart, of course !
